มีบ้านหมู่น้อยชื่อเบธเลเฮมความมืดปกคลุมหุ้มไว้
ชาวบ้านหลับไหลเงียบเชียบทั่วไปดาราเต็มนภาลัย
แต่ในเวลากลางคืนนั้นปรากฎดวงรัศมี
พระคริสต์เกิดมาตามพระสัญญาทำนายสำเร็จคราวนี้

พระคริสต์กุมารบังเกิดคืนนั้นมารีย์ผู้เป็นมารดา
มีชาวสวรรค์ชุมนุมพร้อมกันเหล่าบริวารชาวฟ้า
ยามนั้นมีเสียงประกาศว่าผู้ช่วยทรงเกิดวันนี้
สรรเสริญพระเจ้ากษัตริย์ของเราให้โลกปิติยินดี

ราตรีสงบราตรีสงัดพระคริสต์เสด็จลงมา
เป็นพรสวรรค์ประเสริฐล้ำเลิศประทานแก่ชาวโลกา
ไม่มีผู้ใดได้ยินเสียงเมื่อพระองค์เสด็จมา
คนผิดคนบาปที่สารภาพพระองค์จะทรงเมตตา

พระองค์บังเกิดบ้านเบธเลเฮมวันนี้ขอน้อมวันทา
ขอพระองค์โปรดอวยพรยกโทษสถิตในใจเหล่าข้า
ขอโปรดชำระความผิดบาปให้บริสุทธิ์ผ่องใส
ในวันบังเกิดเป็นพรล้ำเลิศปิติยินดีทั่วไป
